Linda Lee
Linda Lee is the full-time Entertainment Coordinator and House Musician for the World-Famous Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, Michigan. She is also their "goodwill ambassador" promoting German Hospitality wherever she goes! In addition to her regular Bavarian Inn Schedule, five days a week, Linda also maintains a private schedule, performing at various parties, festivals and concerts throughout the United States and Canada, and she loves every minute of it!
Working in Frankenmuth at the Bavarian Inn is indeed a real blessing! Linda has the wonderful opportunity to meet people from all over the world on a daily basis. She not only meets new friends, but since Bavarian Inn is about "gathering," it is not unusual for guests to come back regularly to reunited with their family and friends. Of course, Linda Lee is always included in their gathering by performing some of their favorite tunes for musical enjoyment, but for some happy sing-a-longs. Linda Lee loves her accordions. She purchased them from ACCORDION-O-RAMA in South Amboy, New Jersey. (formerly from Manhatten).
Beginning music lessons at the age of seven, Linda plays the accordion, clarinet and saxophone. She began entertaining at parties and banquets at the age of ten. After she married her husband in 1967, and then became the mother of her three children, Linda organized her first professional band "LINDA LEE AND THE GOLDEN-AIRES." When her children showed an interest in the music business, they were invited to participate under the name of the BROWN FAMILY SINGERS and they even recorded a record. Now they are adults on their own, living in various cities and states. They still enjoy their music and have remained friends with the fans and musical colleagues.
Linda Lee also has a deep love for animals, especially dogs. She hasd one furry friend living with her and her husband. She is always eager to come home to Oscoda, a black lab. She calls him her "polka mascot" as he loves to listen to the polka music that fills the air constantly in her home. Oscoda passed away on November 11, 2021. This was a tremendous loss for Linda . She has had many other doggies who have now departed to the Rainbow Bridge where one day, we will be reunited.
In fact, during the summer season at Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn's Fischer Platz, you may even see FRITZIE on stage with her. Fritzie is her newly adopted dog, part Lab and who knows what.
He was found in Kentucky and brought up to Michigan where Linda and her husband, Roger, adopted him. He is training under John, who is a retired K9 officer, and he has great hopes for Fritzie.
This year will mark the 55th Wedding Anniversary of Linda and Roger. It is definitely a huge milestone. Time sure does fly by quickly and our 55 years together have been fabulous! Husband Roger can be seen with Linda Lee on most days as he is her Audio Engineer, helper and best friend.
"Music is my life and music IS a gift from God" says Linda Lee, who was also a polka DJ on several radio stations each week, along with her partner of 25 plus years, Wild Bill, they can be found on many stations, including 247Polkaheaven.com
One of her musical partners, Tommy Vale, puts many videos on YouTube, where you can watch them perform in various places. OLDIESROCKANDROLLER is the name to subscribe to on YouTube, or just search for Linda Lee and Tommy Vale.
Linda Lee is proud to have the perfect dream band with seasoned musicians. This is my final group, says Linda Lee, because we all work together so well.
